All Inclusive Jamaica Honeymoons are still # 1. In 2010, Jamaica managed to squeak by 3 main contenders….Cancun Honeymoons (including Riviera Maya Honeymoons), St Lucia Honeymoons and Punta Cana Honeymoons.
Negril Honeymoons, with the help of Sandals Negril, Couples Swept Away and Couples Negril continued to be the #1 area in Jamaica for our honeymoon couples. 7 miles of incredible beach is hard to resist.
Ocho Rios Honeymoons came in second with the help of Sandals Grande Riviera, Couples Sans Souci and Riu Ocho Rios. No other area in Jamaica has so many off property tours nearby: climb Dunn’s River Falls, bobsled down Mystic Mountain, Swim with the Dolphins, Zipline through the mountains……………
Montego Bay Honeymoons came in a strong third and shows signs that this area wants to be the #1 area for Jamaica Honeymoons. Sandals Resorts have 3 resorts in Montego Bay with free exchange privileges and transfers included. Along with these 3 resorts, we also have 3 new adults only luxury all inclusive resorts in Montego Bay, Iberostar Grand Hotel Rosehall, Secrets St James and Secrets Wild Orchid. And last but not least a new great value all inclusive in Riu Montego Bay.
We are asked often what makes Jamaica so popular. First, the people are very friendly, laid back and hospitable. This is the birthplace of Bob Marley. Reggae and rum and good times are daily rituals. The island is big. Jamaica has farms and fresh water and manufacturing, so they don’t have to import everything , which really drives up the price of running a resort. Because they don’t have to import, resorts can offer better values than islands that import everything. The island is big enough and attracts enough visitors that you have more options on flights. With more flights comes better schedules and better prices. We’ll stop there with the very basics of what makes Jamaica so popular. This is just a blog, but we could write a book on this subject. Call and ask for more if we are too brief here.
