The island is big. Jamaica has farms and fresh water and manufacturing, so they don’t have to import everything , which really drives up the price of running a resort. Because they don’t have to import, resorts can offer better values than islands that import everything. The island is big enough and attracts enough visitors that you have more options on flights.
