The former Riu Palace is due to re-open on November 26th as the new Riu Palace Paradise Island. This Riu Resort is in the midst of a 3 month, $35 million renovation.

Each room will now feature a flat-screen TV and a laptop-size electronic safe. Since the resort is now a Palace, they also upgraded the public areas, added free WiFi service in the lobby and added a restaurant. The Riu Palace Paradise Island is the only Riu Resort in the Bahamas. Bahamas honeymoon packages have been always been popular because the island is just off the coast of Florida.
