Couples Tower Isle Review
I’m glad to announce that Couples Tower Isle hasn’t changed. Even though Couples Resorts spent more than $30 million US dollars to renovate, the resort still has the same charm and ambiance that you can’t recreate from scratch.
If you’ve fallen in love with this place over the years like I have, you’ve probably been worried about your first return stay. Will it be the same place? Your home away from home? Since the original resort was opened in 1949, the basic electricity and plumbing was gutted. You’ll have no more worries about electrical outages or leaky pipes. They also resurfaced every floor and each wall has received a fresh coat of paint.
Although the resort is practically new it may look more nostalgic than ever. The resort’s decor definitely gives it a feel like you are in Jamaica in the 50’s. The staff is still the friendliest of any resort that i have ever stayed at. The food was great.
The resort is small enough that all rooms are convenient, so i don’t think room location is very important. Most of the rooms are pretty much identical inside and the only variable will be your view. Unless you want larger rooms, with jacuzzi tubs and stocked refrigerators, then you definitely need to go with a Junior Suite or One Bedroom Suite.
The catamaran tour is very popular, so make sure you sign up for it early. We waited until the last minute Wednesday to sign up and had to go Friday instead. When you check in, they allow you to go ahead and reserve your dining. You should also do that to make sure you get the restaurant you want each evening. Only 2 restaurants require reservations (Bayside-Asian & Eight Rivers-gourmet), but both have limited seating.
